  1. They are all really nice, but I particularly like Cover C and think it would fit with the urban setting of the book. The darkness around her face and the blue fits the setting much more than clouds. I look forward to the finished product being available!

  2. Dear Slithy Toves,
    First off, cool name--love it! :-) Thank you for voting and thank you for your comment, gives me a chance to discuss THE SCENT OF A SOUL a smidgen, which I'm always happy to do. Just to give a little background for you, Lilliah loves (with a captial L) a good thunderstorm and storm clouds. They are one of her favorite things (which you will learn from the story). Therefore, we wanted to design some covers with storm clouds for the emotions they can invoke. I hope this little bit of insight helps with understanding our thought process for the covers. But you're right, all the covers are wonderful--kudos to my sister-in-law Julie for that!! Thank you, Slithy, for your interest in THE SCENT OF A SOUL. I will definitely keep you posted so you know the moment it is ready for reading consumption. :-}

  5. I like the front of A, the faces at least but prefer the colour and cloud on B but not the larger face and flowers.

  6. You already know how I feel about Cover A. But like Iona, I'm kind of thinking I'd like to see it with Cover B's colors. Julie did a great job with all three!!

  9. Torn between B and C, I think C wins!

  10. B for me. I like the seamless feel of B, whereas A and C are both segmented.

  11. I am really liking A I like that the heroine and the hero are on there but I really like the sepia of B I think A overall wins :O)

  13. Cover B or C are my favourites. Personally I don't find looking at the hero particularly exciting - makes me think the whole novel is a romance with no depth.

  14. It was hard for me to decide. I like the three of them. But, since I had to choose, I eventually reduced my dilemma to B and C (because of the flowers). I ended up voting for C (I guess it's because the girl's face seems a bit more clear?), but I really like the B cover just as much.

  15. I like all of them. I prefer A because I think it makes it look like there is more to the book than just the woman's perspective.

  16. All 3 are beautiful, but I get different impressions of the book from each. Cover A looks to me like a murder mystery or supernatural mystery. Cover B looks like contemporary or possibly historical fiction. Cover C looks like a flat-out romance novel.
    B is my favorite, for the unusual sepia-tone, the clouds (look more ominous/threatening to me in that light), and the fact that the female model's face is larger and therefore I can more easily see her wary expression. Also, having roses next to a face makes me think of douche commercials (maybe it's just me, and all those Summers Eve adverts I saw as a kid). But I think B is spot on!

  17. Yup, all 3 are beautiful, but still... cover B was my instant favourite! (A) It's simple and elegant and simply beautiful. Nothing too much... It's complete.
    My second choice is A and then C. :D

  18. I loved cover B because it felt more dreamy and imaginative, with the clouds. The color too was less harsh compared to the deep blue, and it was captivating. You will usually pick a book off the shelf if it captures your attention; so something that is slightly mysterious, striking and interesting making you want to read the book! x

  19. My favourite is Cover A. I love the look of the stormy clouds, and the mysterious man on the cover. The cover has a turbulent feel to it. If those three books were featured on a shelf, it would be Cover A that would entice me to buy!

  21. Ah! I haven't been on book blogs for a while so it's now that I see your lovely reply. I prefer Cover C but I do like the Cover colors of B... so I'll say B is my final answer (;
    Congrats!

  22. Sorry I missed your vote! I would choose Cover B because I think the sepia effect makes it look more mysterious....
